INGREDIENTS
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 1 jar St. Dalfour Blueberry Fruit Spread
- 6 oz Brie cheese, cut into small cubes
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- Fresh rosemary sprigs (for garnish)
- Sea salt flakes (for garnish)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Prepare the puff pastry: Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into small squares, about 2 inches by 2 inches, and place the squares on the prepared baking sheet.
- Add the toppings: Place a cube of Brie cheese in the center of each pastry square. Top with about 1/2 teaspoon of St. Dalfour Blueberry Fruit Spread.
- Pecans: Sprinkle a small pinch of chopped pecans on top of the fruit spread for added crunch.
- Seal the edges (optional): If you'd like a more enclosed bite, fold up the corners of the pastry squares slightly to cradle the fillings.
- Egg wash: In a small bowl, whisk the egg and brush it along the edges of the pastry for a golden, crispy finish.
- Bake: Bake the pastry bites in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and puffed up.
- Garnish: Once out of the oven, sprinkle the bites with fresh rosemary leaves and a pinch of sea salt flakes for an added burst of flavor.
- Serve & enjoy: Let the bites cool for a few minutes and serve warm as a festive appetizer or snack!
